How to read

① Onyomi (Chinese reading)

The on-readings are
・はく haku
・びゃく byaku

For example,
空白 くうはく kū-haku
It means blank space

紅白 こうはく kou-haku
It means red and white
This color combination is used for festive events.

白熱 はくねつ haku-netsu
It means climax
議論が白熱した ぎろんがはくねつした gi-ron ga haku-netsu shita
The discussion was heated.

純白 じゅんぱく jun-paku
It means pure white

告白 こくはく koku-haku
It means confession, profession of love

白状 はくじょう haku-jou
It means confession

② Kunyomi (Japanese reading)
