How to read

① Onyomi (Chinese reading)

The on-readings are
・しょく shoku
・じき jiki

For example,
食事 しょくじ shoku-ji
It means meal

食料 しょくりょう shoku-ryou
It means food

朝食 ちょうしょく chou-shoku
It means breakfast
昼食 ちゅうしょく chuu-shoku
It means lunch
