Commentary on the radical "歯"
Many kanji with the radical "歯" are related to the type and condition of teeth, chewing, etc.

齢 → 歯(齒) + 令
The character "齒" is the old form of "歯".
The part of "令 (rei)" in the musical note, which is connected to "櫺 (rei)", etc., means "to line up in an orderly manner at equal intervals".
The part of "齒" symbolizes "human teeth".
Teeth grow in and out with age.
Together, the two symbolize "the age of the human body, which is engraved in evenly spaced intervals".
