Commentary on the radical "士"
The radical "士" contain the meaning of boys, but there are only a few.
e.g.
士
The kanji "士" represents the shape of a broadax.
Its meaning has changed and it represents the meaning of a boy who is like a broadax.
壮 → 爿 + 士
The part of "士" means a boy.
The part of "爿" means long.
The two together represent a tall man.
The meaning of it has been changed to express the meaning of prosperous.
