【骨】Gon-ben
Commentary on the radical "骨"
Many kanji with the radical "骨" are related to the names of bones in various parts of the body, things made of bones, etc.
e.g.
骸 → 骨 + 玄
The part of "玄" leads to "核 (kernel, core)" and represents "the hard central part of the fruit".
The two together represent "the hard central part of the body".
In other words, it means "bone".
