How to read

① Onyomi (Chinese reading)

The on-readings are
・どく doku
・とく toku
・とう tou

For example,
読書 どくしょ doku-sho
It means reading books

朗読 ろうどく rou-doku
It means reading aloud
Reading aloud for others to hear.

黙読 もくどく moku-doku
It means reading silently

読点 とうてん tou-ten
It is comma mark(、)

句読点 くとうてん ku-tou-ten
It means punctuation marks, full stop mark and comma mark(。&、)

読破 どくは doku-ha
It means finish reading a book

and so on.

② Kunyomi (Japanese reading)

Next, the kun-reading is
・よ-む yo-mu

For example,
読む よむ yo-mu
It means read

一気読み いっきよみ ikki yo-mi
To read a book in a short period of time, such as a full-length work or a series of books.
マンガ全巻を一気読みした まんがぜんかんをいっきよみした manga zen-kan o ikki yo-mi shita
I read the entire manga in one sitting.

音読み おんよみ on-yo-mi
It is how to read Chinese characters imported from China

訓読み くんよみ kun-yo-mi
It is Japanese readings applied to kanji characters imported from China.
